Facebook sends us the request automatically. We schedule deletion of everything associated with your account and issue a confirmation code, which you can use to check the status on this page.
Data is deleted after 14 days from the request. Collection and sessions stop right away, but the data itself waits. The delay exists because Instagram history cannot be restored: Meta does not hold past values, and one accidental click would wipe out months of observation for good.
Changed your mind? Just sign in with Facebook again before the deadline; the deletion cancels itself, with nothing else to do.

If you only want to stop collection while keeping what has accumulated, switch the accounts off monitoring in the dashboard. Existing data stays; nothing new is added.
